Filipe Constant New Euro Chlor Chairman

At its recent Annual General Meeting, the Management Committee of Euro Chlor, representing the European Chlor-Alkali industry, elected a new Chairman. Filipe Constant, Senior Executive Vice President, General Manager of the Solvay Business Unit Electrochemistry and Derived Specialties, took over this function from Werner Fuhrmann (Akzonobel) for a one year period.
Filipe Constant said: "This is a very exciting time to take up this position, when society faces many critical and global challenges such as climate change or the need for optimized resources utilization." He added: "The Chlor-Alkali industry, represented by Euro Chlor, one of the leading European trade associations, has an important role to play in contributing to tackle these problems and is eager to work with all stakeholders, to demonstrate the commitment of the industry to sustainable development."
