Covestro Names Sucheta Govil CCO

German engineering plastics manufacturer Covestro has appointed Sucheta Govil to the position of chief commercial officer (CCO) on its management board. On Aug. 1, the 55-year-old manager will take over the job from Markus Steilemann, who has held down the post in addition to his duties as CEO.

Govil will have responsibility for the company’s three business segments Polyurethanes, Polycarbonates and Coatings, Adhesives. She will also have board responsibility for Covestro’s new Central Marketing Innovation Management & Commercial Services function and Supply Chain Centers in its three major world regions.
