Therefore, the organizers launched an international picture contest from March to June 2010. Twelve of overall more than 180 pictures have been awarded by a jury, including the president of the GDCh and the chairmen of EYCN, JCF and VCW. These twelve pictures are collected in the calendar, which can be purchased now.

The winners will be awarded at the EuChMS Congress in Nuremberg in late August 2010, splitting up prize money of all in all €3000. The benefit of the calendar will be spent on activities arranged by the contributing organizations during the year 2011. These activities target at bringing chemistry to the public and show that chemistry can be found really everywhere.

The calendar can be ordered here or via the GDCh web shop. The prize is €10 per piece incl. VAT, excl. shipping.
