Biesterfeld to Distribute DuPont Plastics in Russia

DuPont Performance Polymers (DPP) has extended its working relationship with Germany’s Biesterfeld Plastic to include Russia. In future, Biesterfeld will support DuPont’s local direct sales force in distributing the US group’s portfolio of thermoplastic resins, elastomers, finished parts and biopolymers.

DPP began working with Biesterfeld Plastic in Germany in 1987 and in the meantime has extended its cooperation to include Benelux, France, Poland, Italy, Spain, Austria, Eastern Europe, Portugal, Greece, Switzerland, Turkey, Algeria, Morocco, Tunisia, Ukraine, Brazil and now Russia.

Rudy van Engen, Sales Manager, Central and Eastern Europe for DuPont Performance Polymers, said the agreement underscores Du Pont’s continued commitment to the Russian market, adding, “we are confident that it will strengthen our position in this region."
