Biesterfeld Strengthens Its Position in Bulgaria
Biesterfeld Spezialchemie has taken over the 50% shares of Biesterfeld Pro, Sofia, from our Joint Venture Partner Bross Holding with effect from May 2nd, 2011.
Biesterfeld Pro operates now under the name Biesterfeld Bulgaria.
Biesterfeld Bulgarien was founded in 2006 as Biesterfeld Pro and distributes specialty chemicals in the fields of LifeScience, Food Ingredients and Performance Products in Bulgaria.
"Since its foundation five years ago our subsidiary has achieved a rapidly growing position within the Bulgarian chemical specialties distribution market. In this respect we have gladly accepted our former partner's offer to purchase his shares in the company. By acquiring the shares Biesterfeld Spezialchemie takes a further step forward in pursuing its pan- European distribution strategy and strengthens its local presence," explains Dr. Onno Graalmann, Managing Director, Biesterfeld Spezialchemie.
