BASF and IFF Launch Strategic Partnership for Next-Gen Enzyme and Polymer Innovations

The aim of the collaboration between BASF and IFF is to accelerate the development of IFF's Designed Enzymatic Biomaterials technology platform and to develop next-generation enzyme technologies for applications in detergents, industrial cleaning and personal care products.

"This partnership marks a strategically significant step for both companies," explains Michael Heinz, member of the Board of Executive Directors of BASF. "By combining our research and development expertise, we are creating the foundation to bring large-scale innovative solutions to market faster for our customers."

The cooperation focuses on innovative enzyme systems and bio-based polymers that enable customers to achieve outstanding performance while reducing resource consumption. Both companies will maintain their independent business activities and respective market positions while leveraging their complementary strengths to accelerate innovation and expand offerings to customers worldwide.
