ANGUS Selects Univar to Distribute Nitroalkanes

ANGUS Chemical, a US manufacturer of nitroalkanes and derivatives, has entered into an exclusive distribution agreement with Univar with effect from Jul 1. Univar will distribute ANGUS’ complete range of nitroalkanes and specialty additive products to various US market segments, including: paints and coatings; personal care; adhesives and sealants; household, industrial and institutional cleaning; inks; rubber; oil & gas, and water treatment.

The company will become ANGUS’ sole channel partner once a destocking and transition period with ANGUS’ current US distributors is completed. Markets not covered by the agreement, such as metalworking fluids and life sciences, will continue to be serviced by ANGUS and its existing partners.

Mike Lewis, business vice president at ANGUS, said the deal was part of its strategy to drive growth and streamline its channel to market, adding that Univar’s extensive logistics network and deep industry expertise would serve its national customers faster and more efficiently.

ANGUS is the only company in the world that is dedicated to nitroalkanes and their derivatives.
