Assessa Extends Distribution Relationship with Azelis

For its range of bioactive ingredients Assess has expanded the distribution agreement with Azelis from Mar. 17 to include Australia and New Zealand.

Azelis has already been serving Lonza in France and Italy for more than ten years and in Turkey since 2015. The new mandate expands the existing relationship started in the UK and recently extended to include the Polish, Italian, French and Benelux markets.

Camiel Huisman, regional managing director Australia and New Zealand, comments: “The addition of the Assessa product range enhances our current portfolio and fills a niche area of strong interest to our clients. Azelis Australia and New Zealand can now offer a full range of high-performance bioactive ingredients, derived from sustainable botanical sources, and provide the technical formulation support targeted to our markets specific needs.”

Daniel Barreto, Assessa’s CEO, adds: “The expansion of the distribution agreement with Azelis will allow Assessa to reach a dynamic and creative market. The high technical level of Azelis’ different teams, excellence in customer service and its intelligent and agile structure, already demonstrated in the recent expansions of territories, gives us full confidence in the success of this new challenge.”

Tony Craske, Azelis’ personal care market segment director, concludes: “We are delighted that Assessa has elected to extend the existing agreement. Leveraging our strong knowledge base from Europe will benefit the Australian and New Zealand customers by providing technical formulary solutions and marketing trends. We look forward to working with this forward thinking, green-based actives supplier to meet the growing needs of our customers for natural and sustainable ingredients.”
