Thyssenkrupp Uhde has won a contract by Australian renewable energy company Ark Energy to carry out a feasibility study to support the development of the Han-Ho H2 Hub project. Ark Energy is leading the Han-Ho H2 Consortium involving three of Korea’s largest conglomerate groups including Hanwha Impact, Korea Zinc and SK Gas.
Lotte Chemical, part of South Korean conglomerate Lotte, has formed a strategic alliance with Japan’s Mitsubishi Corporation (MC) to jointly develop stable large-scale green and blue “clean ammonia” supply chains in Asia, Europe and the US.
Topsoe has been chosen by Beijing-based Mintal Hydrogen to provide its proprietary technology for a green ammonia plant in China. The 390,000 t/y plant, located in Baotou, Inner Mongolia, will be the first of its type in China, as well as Topsoe’s first power-to-X project in the country.
Polish companies Energy Group and Hynfra have signed a Letter of Intent (LoI) to develop a project that would produce green hydrogen, green ammonia and methanol. The companies estimate the cost of the project to be more than €22 billion.
