WeylChem Launches Advanced Materials Line and Partners with Novoset
WeylChem Wesseling has announced its entry into the Advanced Materials market with the formation of a new Advanced Materials Business Line in Germany.

WeylChem Wesseling, with more than 65 years of experience in manufacturing and handling cyanogen chloride derivatives, provides technical support for customers in the advanced materials sector. Cyanogen chloride serves as an important raw material for cyanate esters and other crosslinking agents such as Triallyl Cyanurate (TAC) and Isocyanurate (TAICROS). The company operates Europe’s largest backward-integrated supply chain for cyanate ester raw materials, supported by an on-site hydrogen cyanide (HCN) network. This strategic position has enabled recent investments in cyanate ester chemistry, supporting forward integration to address evolving customer requirements.
“This is a very exciting time for our company,” said Stefan Sigmund, Managing Director of WeylChem Wesseling. “With strong support from our Group CEO, Andreas Maier, and encouragement from our key customers, we are entering the advanced materials market with a strong product portfolio. Our products will be marketed under the Welcure and Welset brand names.”
WeylChem Wesseling has also announced a long-term strategic partnership with Novoset, a New Jersey-based advanced material company. Sajal Das, Founder & CEO of Novoset, has joined our team as a partner in innovation, marketing and growth. “With his decades of experience and global networks in cyanate esters and other thermoset resins, Sajal will be a significant asset to our growth strategy across both new and existing markets,” added Sigmund.
Initial offerings from the Advanced Materials Business Line will include Welcure BTCDA and Welcure CAF, along with TAC and TAICROS. TAC and TAICROS are widely used as crosslinker in polyphenylene oxide (PPO) and hydrocarbon resins for CCL and other industrial applications. BTCDA is recognized in the electronics and aerospace markets for epoxy curing and polyimide building blocks. WeylChem has manufacturing capabilities in BTCDA and is the largest producer of CAF, with a long-standing history of supplying CAF for structural aerospace applications.
