Umicore Precious Metals Chemistry (Umicore PMC) has announced the acquisition of high-throughput screening (HTS) capabilities and specialty ligand manufacturing technologies from Solvias. This includes equipment, procedures, analytical tools, ligand development data, and catalyst libraries, all transitioning to Umicore PMC operations progressively during 2026.

The move strengthens Umicore PMC's homogeneous catalysis portfolio, enabling expanded services for customers in the pharmaceutical and fine chemical sectors. Former Solvias customers must request data transfers by April 2026 to maintain project continuity.

Umicore PMC positions this expansion as a key step to support advanced catalyst discovery and optimization needs in the industry.
