ISPE Appoints Tim Howard as Acting CEO and President

The International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering (ISPE) has appointed Tim Howard as the organization’s acting CEO and president. John Bournas, the former CEO and president, stepped down from his position effective Jan. 8, 2020. Howard has taken a leave of absence from his current industry position and will lead the ISPE team under the direction of the ISPE Board until a permanent replacement will be found.

Before taking on the role as acting CEO and president of ISPE, Howard has held various senior roles at Commissioning Agents Inc. (CAI), most recently as vice president Human Resources. From 2011 to 2019, he was a member of the international board of directors of ISPE, serving as chair in 2018. Howard holds a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from North Carolina State University.
