H.B. Fuller Acquires UK’s Beardow Adams

US adhesives major H.B. Fuller has acquired Beardow Adams, a UK-based family-owned industrial adhesives manufacturer with capacities in Europe and the US, with a global distribution network and customers in more than 70 countries. Neither terms nor the cost of the purchase have been disclosed.

H.B. Fuller said it expects the acquisition of the company with 200 employees and €130 million in sales for the 2022 fiscal year to accelerate profitable growth in many of its own core end markets and generate business synergies through production optimization, an expanded distribution platform, and “difference-making innovation.”

In future, Beardow Adams will operate within H.B. Fuller’s existing Hygiene, Health, and Consumable Adhesives global business unit.

Combining the two companies will represent a step toward H.B. Fuller’s goal of strengthening its leadership position in the markets and regions, expanding is customer base and technology portfolio to address today’s megatrend such as e-commerce, food safety and sustainability, said Jim East, executive vice president Hygiene, Health, and Consumable Adhesives.
