Azelis Acquires Israel’s Lidorr

In its second acquisition of the year so far, Azelis has agreed to buy Lidorr Elements, a leading Israeli specialty chemical distributor active in the crop protection, industrial materials and care & nutrition markets.

Headquartered in the Tel Aviv suburb of Ramat Hasharon, Lidorr also has a logistics and laboratory facility in Beit Shemesh in southern Israel. The company employs 90 staff and serves more than 400 customers in the country.

Azelis said the acquisition builds on its growing network in Israel, following the acquisition of specialty chemicals distributor Orokia in 2020, and significantly strengthens its value chain in the agricultural & environmental solutions and advanced materials & additives segments.

Anna Bertona, regional CEO for Azelis Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA), commented: “This transaction will not only provide us with many business opportunities in crop protection, polymers, and care & nutrition, but also reinforce our relationships with our long-lasting and historical principals within EMEA.”

Earlier this month, Azelis announced the purchase of Benelux smoke ingredients distributor Smoky Light.
