Arkema Invests in Japanese Adhesives Plant

In line with its geographical expansion strategy, French specialty chemicals producer Arkema’s adhesive solutions segment Bostik has started up a new world-scale industrial adhesives plant in Japan to supply customers in the region’s steadily growing markets.

At the same time, the new facility at Nara, operated by the Bostik-Nitta joint venture owned to 80% by the Arkema group will allow the French producer  to expand the manufacturing of certain industrial adhesives ranges in Asia.

The new Japanese production line are dedicated to manufacturing adhesives for the non-woven industry (diapers and hygiene) as well as supplying  the industrial markets of packaging, labelling, transportation and electronics.
