Arkema Expands Specialty UV/LED Curing Resin Capacity in China

Arkema starts Sartomer UV/LED resin production at its Nansha, China facility, doubling capacity to fuel sustainable solutions for emerging Asian markets like advanced electronics and renewable energies.

The Nansha capacity increase utilizes state-of-the-art process and manufacturing techniques. The entire facility has adopted an energy efficiency initiative and is committed to achieving carbon-neutral growth by procuring green electricity and installing solar panels.

“Doubling the capacity of the Nansha plant will allow us to support the growth, innovation and regional supply of our customers in Asia. The accelerating need for lower carbon solutions is creating new opportunities for the UV/LED curing technology, which is expanding fast to a wider range of substrates and applications” commented Richard Jenkins, Senior Vice-President of Arkema’s Coating Solutions.

The project is part of the Group’s strategy to expand its leading portfolio of high-performance and sustainable materials, including UV/LED, powder, waterborne and high-solid technologies.
