CO2-Based Fuels and Chemicals Conference 2026

The CO₂-based Fuels and Chemicals Conference 2026 will take place on 28 and 29 April 2026 in Cologne and online. Now in its 14th year, the event brings together international experts from industry, research and politics to discuss the latest developments in the use and utilisation of CO₂. With around 250 participants, the conference has established itself as the world's leading forum for carbon capture and utilisation (CCU) and power-to-X technologies, demonstrating the successful use of CO₂ in industrial value chains.

The focus is on innovations that convert CO₂ into marketable products such as chemicals, fuels, polymers or alternative materials. The technologies presented make an important contribution to the circular carbon economy and show ways to reduce dependence on fossil resources. The accompanying trade exhibition invites visitors to discover the latest technological developments, collaborations and new business models.

A central highlight is the ‘Best CO₂ Utilisation 2026’ innovation award. This recognises groundbreaking products and technologies that make CO₂ usable as a valuable resource. An international jury will nominate six finalists, while the winners will be determined by live voting from the conference audience.
