HOBUM Oleochemicals GmbH has been developing and producing products based on renewable raw materials for over 50 years. We are a medium-sized independent company in Hamburg-Harburg, with 55 employees generating an annual turnover of almost 25 Million Euro.

HOBUM supplies a diverse group of customers worldwide, ranging from small and medium-sized companies to global players. Due to specialising in oleochemistry, primarily based on unsaturated vegetable oils and their fatty acids, we have successfully positioned ourselves in the areas of coatings and paints as well as plastics and adhesives.

Research & Development is central to HOBUM’s strategy. In addition to our own product developments, we also perform customised projects and support funding projects of universities and research institutes. Our intention is to find solutions for challenging problems of our national and international customers. This is how HOBUM differentiates from the competitive landscape that is increasingly dominated by corporates.
