Dr. Paul Lohmann is a medium-sized, owner-managed manufacturer and developer of mineral salts with headquarters in Emmerthal in the district of Hameln-Pyrmont. The company started in 1886, when chemist Dr. Paul Lohmann began reducing iron oxide to elemental iron in an empty factory on Hameln's Feuergraben. Today, the product range of the group in the Weserbergland region includes more than 400 different salts in a total of over 7000 different specifications. Since the end of the 19th century, Dr. Paul Lohmann has been supplying its specialty salts to customers in the food, dietary supplement, pharmaceutical, cosmetics and industrial applications sectors around the globe.
