Biesterfeld wins "Golden Sensory Award" at in-cosmetics global 2017

Biesterfeld Spezialchemie – one of the leading international distributors of products and solutions in the world of specialty chemicals – was recognized with the "Golden Sensory Award 2017” at in-cosmetics global for its latest formulation kit Body and Seoul.

Bettina Heick, Market Manager Personal Care at Biesterfeld Spezialchemie, was delighted to accept the award during the award ceremony on behalf of Biesterfeld: "Thanks to the excellent formulation skills of our lab and the innovative raw materials of our partners like Dow Corning, DuPont Tate & Lyle, IOI Oleochemicals, Dr. Straetmans, DuPont Industrial BioSciences, Akzo Nobel and many others, we have created formulation ideas which meet the customers' demand. Inspired by the current trend "k-beauty" the skin care kit contains several formulations, which consider the daily Asian beauty routines. These include light, moisturising and long-lasting formulations to keep you fresh and fit all day long. We are very proud to be rewarded for the great work and creativity of our Personal Care team and we believe those formulation kits have an added value for our customers and partners."

This kit features seven formulations inspired by Asian beauty trends and skin care routines. "Sleeping Beauty", an innovative overnight lip mask, as well as "Bee my Honey", a non-sticky cleansing oil based on an oil-to-milk technology, were displayed at the sensory bar at in-cosmetics global and tested by many visitors. The current trend "Genius Water" served by the formulation "Mandarin Splash" – an innovative, two-phase formulation with stabilised oil-droplets. With "Superfruit Sorbet" Biesterfeld created a light, moisturising sorbet-texture, which protects cells from osmotic stress and provides dewy skin. This development is focused on the k-beauty trend "Water Essence“.
