The new plant is an important part of the BASF production network for this portfolio at the company’s sites in Ludwigshafen, Germany; Antwerp, Belgium; Geismar, Louisiana; and Nanjing, China.

BASF offers a diverse portfolio of approximately 300 different amines, including alkyl ethanolamines, alkyl-, alkanol-, and alkoxyalkylamines, heterocyclic, aromatic, and specialty amines, as well as chiral amines known for their high optical and chemical purity. These versatile chemicals are used in gas treatment, water treatment, coatings, fabric softeners, metalworking fluids, polyurethanes, process chemicals, pharmaceuticals, crop protection, cosmetics, detergents, special plastics, composites, and special fibers.
