Financial terms of the transaction, which is expected to close by the end of 2022, were not disclosed.

“With its strong focus on technology and innovation including biodegradable micronutrients, high-solubility specialty fertilizers and custom formulations, ADOB’s capabilities are an excellent complement to Nouryon’s existing capabilities in crop nutrition,” said Larry Ryan, the Dutch company’s executive vice president and president of performance formulations and the Americas.

Headquartered in Poznan, ADOB regards itself as the global leader of water-soluble fertilizers and micronutrients, and the biggest producer of foliar fertilizers in Poland. Its portfolio includes single, oligo and multi-nutrient fertilizers in liquid, crystalline and microgranular formulations.

The company runs two production plants, one in Poznan and one in Wroclaw-Zlotniki, and employs more than 400 people.
