Allotrope Foundation - a consortium of leading pharmaceutical and biotech companies - selected Osthus as the architect of its much anticipated open framework for laboratory data. The scope of services that Osthus will provide includes consulting services to Allotrope, as well as the design, coding and implementation of the framework.
"During the comprehensive and rigorous RFP process, Osthus Inc. kept impressing us with their innovative ideas and intelligent solutions for realizing the concept of Allotrope's framework," said Gordon Hansen, Vice President, Analytical Development at Boehringer Ingelheim and Chair, Board of Directors at Allotrope. "We are excited about the partnership with Osthus Inc. and working together to build the foundation for the intelligent analytical laboratory."
"We look forward to working with Allotrope's innovative and highly motivated members to create a common framework that will move life science companies and their vendors forward by innovating faster and more cost-effectively, while complying with government requirements more easily," said Dr. Torsten Osthus, President of Osthus, and Managing Director of Osthus GmbH. "Osthus Inc. is all about transforming research complexity into decision-making knowledge and process efficiency. Allotrope's framework is an important stepping-stone designed to facilitate that. We are proud to be part of this project."
At a recent one-week workshop in Washington D.C., the development of the framework got underway, starting with joint design and requirement research.
