She takes on the leadership position in Colombia and will be responsible for both IMCD Colombia and Siliconas y Químicos, an IMCD company.

A chemical engineer with 30 years of experience as a business owner in the chemical distribution industry, Castellanos Pineda joins IMCD via the recent acquisition of Siliconas y Químicos, which she co-founded in 2000. She is based in Bogotá, Colombia.

Upon Castellanos Pineda’s appointment, her predecessor, Oscar Clavijo, will begin his transition into retirement.

IMCD Colombia and Siliconas y Químicos serve formulators and manufacturing companies in Colombia with expertise in pharmaceuticals, food, nutrition, personal care, coatings, silicones, and other specialty industrial markets.
