Particularly, with the Oqema group’s European network and expertise and Oqemiqs’ focus on value-added services, “we have two business models that are an excellent strategic complement to each other and make us feel very positive about the future,” said Sabrina Kunz, former managing director of ACC Beku and who retains her role in the new subsidiary.

The acquisition is the latest in a string of deals this year for Oqema, which claims to be one of Europe’s top ten chemical distributors. In April, Oqema bought France’s Orosolv Group, which followed its purchase in February of Slovenian company Alpkem. Spanish food ingredients and additives distributor Tecnufar Iberia joined the Oqema stable in January.
