The new investment, designed in partnership with a long-term customer in Brazil, significantly increases Nouryon’s total sodium chlorate capacity available to the market and supports the growing pulp and paper industry in the region.

Nouryon designs and builds Integrated Manufacturing Model sites for pulp production, ensuring smooth operations with their expertise in pulp bleaching and chlorine dioxide generators. Since 2005, they have operated six sustainable sites in Brazil, producing sodium chlorate and chlorine dioxide. The new site in Mato Grosso do Sul also generates green hydrogen for hydrogen peroxide production.
