The personnel carousel continue to turn at ailing German chemical producer Lanxess, and not only at the top.

Along with the return of Matthias Zachert, this time as CEO, and other recently announced changes in group functions, the company has announced a change in one additional group function as well as a reshuffle in two business units and realignments elsewhere to facilitate the moves.

Jorge Nogueira, currently head of the business unit Functional Chemicals, will assume responsibility for the Performance Butadiene Rubbers business unit based at Fribourg, Switzerland. On May 1, he will succeed Joachim Grub, who Lanxess said is taking a one-year sabbatical.  

Anno Borkowsky will temporarily be responsible for Functional Chemicals, in addition to continuing as head of the business unit Rhein Chemie at Mannheim, Germany.

Also on May 1, Par Singh, currently country representative in Singapore, will take over change as head of the group function Innovation & Technology from Paul Wagner, who is retiring. Fiona Wu will be the new country representative in Singapore, parallel to her position as head of Human Resources at the business unit Butyl Rubber.

Joerg Strassburger, country representative in India since 2005, will leave the company on April 30 and will be succeeded on May 1 by Jacques Perez, who will continue as Chief Financial Officer in India.
