Among the approx. 200 exhibitors are numerous established and market-leading companies. Manufacturers and operators of machines and plants know: Performance and productivity depend to a large extent on the machine running trouble-free. They also know that maintenance can and must make an important contribution to the efficiency and profitability of industrial productions. Maintenance Dortmund presents solutions for achieving these goals covering the range of products and services for the entire industry: from heavy-duty applications to metal processing and food production to the automotive and electronics industries.

Central Theme: Maintenance 4.0

The range of exhibits at Maintenance in Dortmund is also becoming broader because maintenance today uses state-of-the-art digital tools and systems. Integrated sensor technology records the operating status, e.g. of driving elements. If the data is then evaluated with intelligent software, each individual component can predict its service life in the sense of “Predictive maintenance“, and the maintenance engineer has the opportunity to intervene in good time (and that also means not too early). Machine learning and artificial intelligence also contribute to increasing the efficiency of maintenance even further.

Knowledge Hub of the Industry

The industry is looking forward to a "live" meeting at a high level. In addition to personal discussions between exhibitors and visitors, the focus will also be on the extensive supporting program. In the ScienceCenter, which is co-organized by Fraunhofer IML, the topic "Smart Maintenance" will be highlighted. In addition, there is the SolutionCenter, where exhibitors present new products and technical solutions for all areas of maintenance. A new feature at Maintenance 2022 is the EducationCenter: a professional advanced training format in which two certified teaching modules on the topics of "Data Analytics" and "Process Control Engineering" are offered in cooperation with FIR of RWTH Aachen University.
