Frank Wegener was appointed CEO of ESIM Chemicals with effect from 1 March 2019. Wegener joined ESIM from WeylChem where he acted as President of the WeylChem Group of Companies, the fine chemicals brand of ICIG, for 4 years. He studied Technical Chemistry at the Ruhr University Bochum. After graduating as a Ph.D. from the University of Duisburg-Essen, Germany, in 1992, he started his career as a technical sales representative at Safechem Europe and moved on to LyondellBasell in 1995 as a sales manager. In 1998 he joined Kemira, where he held various executive positions before joining WeylChem in 2015.
