Biesterfeld Spezialchemie has expanded the successful cooperation with the Indian company Salicylates and Chemicals. Since March 1st, 2013 Biesterfeld Spezialchemie also distributes the raw materials for the pharmaceutical industry in all European countries except for United Kingdom and Ireland.

Salicylates and Chemicals is one of the largest Indian manufacturers of preservatives for pharmaceutical and personal care applications. The family-owned company was incorporated in 1978 at Hyderabad in Southern India to manufacture Salicylic Acid. 1985 a diversification process in production started with para hydroxy benzoic acid (PHBA), the basic raw material for parabens and derivatives. Today, Salicylates and Chemicals offers a complete range of preservatives and sunscreen chemicals for the pharmaceutical and personal care industries.
