At K 2025, the world's leading trade fair for plastics technologies, the big start-up pitch will take place on October 13, 2025 in Düsseldorf under the motto “Towards Zero”. Start-ups whose innovations and technologies, solutions or new business models contribute to a circular economy with plastics, to the defossilization of the plastics industry or to the reduction of so-called Scope 3 emissions can apply until 1 March 2025.

The event will be hosted on Innovation Monday, October 13, 2025, by Plastics Europe, the association of plastics producers, in cooperation with VDMA and Messe Düsseldorf.

The new initiative aims to find the most innovative minds shaping the future of plastics through sustainable practices and circular economy principles. Start-up companies are invited to show the world how they are closing the loop and to join industry experts, the media, and potential customers in this high-stakes competition during K Show 2025 in Duesseldorf, Germany.

Start-ups that have what it takes to lead the plastics transition and are ready to accept the challenge can pitch their groundbreaking ideas to the key players in the industry. Application open until March 1^st, 2025.
