Scope and Influence
14.03.2017 -
Rarely does one have the privilege of penning an introduction to a 25th anniversary issue, let alone one as respected, influential, and successful as CHEManager. I am delighted to have the opportunity to salute CHEManager on this momentous occasion and to congratulate its leadership and staff for their stewardship of this remarkable publication.
CHEManager’s history is a history of success. CHEManager was founded in 1992 by GIT VERLAG as a German-language news supplement to its leading b2b laboratory journal, focusing on business and company news from the chemical and pharmaceutical industry. Within two years, CHEManager was transformed into a stand-alone publication, and by the time GIT VERLAG became part of Wiley-VCH in 2002, the publication had become a must-read for industry professionals.
Since then, CHEManager has introduced an English-language edition, a bi-annual management survey that is widely quoted in the media, a website, and a job board for industry experts, and has developed its online presence into one of the most-visited websites within Wiley’s Research business. The brand now encompasses a range of international b2b publications, online portals, and digital products and services and is the top source of business news for the chemical and life science industries. Its authors include leaders of the world’s major chemical corporations and international industry associations.
With CHEManager, Wiley is the only publisher that covers both the science of chemistry and the $3 trillion global chemistry industry.
As CHEManager’s scope and influence have grown, its editorial focus has broadened to include strategic and special-interest topics for leaders and decision-makers. At the same time, it has expanded its services to content marketing/corporate publishing for industry associations and business customers, and it is now looking to develop and market e-learning modules that address the training needs of its industry customers. CHEManager has maintained its energy and momentum for 25 years, and there’s no reason to think that it will ever slow down.
Congratulations on your many successes, CHEManager, and Happy 25th Anniversary!
