Distrupol Acquires Finnish Rival Baritec
Founded in 1994, Espoo-headquartered Baritec supplies customers in Finland, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania with polymers and resins including the commodity plastics LDPE, HDPE, LLDPE and PP as well as specialty plastics, adhesives, plastic additives and color masterbatches.
By its own account, Distrupol, based in Chertsey, Surrey, supplies more than 1,300 customers in 13 countries with more than 4,000 polymer types. In April 2021, the distributor was bought by private equity group One Rock Capital Partners.
In June 2021, Distrupol acquired Lautrup Chemicals, a Danish polymers distributor, for an undisclosed sum. This buy widened the company’s presence in eastern and southern Europe as well as Scandinavia.
