As part of its drive to expand in high growth regions, Arkema subsidiary Bostik is expanding its production capacity in Bangalore, India. The French chemical group said the new hot melt pressure sensitive adhesives (HMPSA) production units will enhance Bostik’s ability to supply customers in the disposable hygiene market.

A global player, the German company specializes in adhesives for industrial manufacturing, construction and consumer markets, supplying solutions for applications including elastic attachment, wetness indication and stretch in baby diapers, feminine hygiene and adult incontinence products in particular.

Bostik has been active in India since 2001. The new facility in India following recent plant openings in China, Malaysia and Brazil. A fully automated packing operation will ensure the quality and efficiency required by customers, the company said.
