Israel Chem Signs New Indian Potash Supply Deals
22.03.2010 -
Israel Chemicals (ICL) said on Monday that it has signed new potash supply contracts in India, for the second time in less than a week. ICL, the world's sixth-largest maker of potash, said it would supply clients with 430,000 tonnes of potash, including an option for 90,000, at $370 per ton for one year starting in April. Last Thursday, ICL announced deals to supply 1 million tons of potash to India at that price. ICL said the 1.43 million tons would be the most it has ever supplied to India, pointing to the importance of India as a main market for the company.
