LAR Process Analysers, the former LAR Analytik & Umweltmesstechnik was founded in 1986 as a customer-oriented company with the corporate objective to develop, manufacture, and distribute technically advanced instrumentation for online environmental measurement and related services. In October 2004 the company's name changed to LAR Process Analysers AG.

From the beginning, LAR Process Analysers developed a line of products for on-line monitoring of municipal and industrial waste water. Today, the major proportion of the products offered are analyzers used for both process control and environmental protection.

The aim of LAR Process Analysers philosophy is the development of innovative, customer-oriented products. The State of Berlin has recognized and rewarded this by presenting LAR Process Analysers with special awards for environmental technology for two of their analyzers.

As a result, LAR has continually advanced its product concept, and has developed a range of analysers for the measurement of Total Organic Carbon (TOC) and nitrogen (TNb), Biological Oxygen Demand (BOD), Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD), as well as the determination of sewage toxicity. The product range is completed and complimented by a patented sampling system called "FlowSampler", as well as a group of options & related services.

LAR Process Analysers operates worldwide, maintaining a strong network of more than 40 distributors and service partners. For example, in the Far East (e.g. China, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia, Philippines, Pakistan, Iran), Australia, South Africa, South America (e.g. Brazil, Venezuela, etc.), and almost all Western European Countries.

With the continued commitment to both domestic and international markets, LAR has instituted a process for Total Quality Management (TQM). In 1995, LAR was certified ISO 9001 by the German TUV. This has resulted in the output of products having exceptional quality and reliability.
